A warm weather crop. Sow the seed after danger of frost has passed, 5cm deep, 30 to 35 cm apart where the plants are to mature. Sow October to January (cold), September to January (warm), August to February (tropics). Seed is best planted in blocks of several rows to improve pollination. Feed heavily and keep well watered at all times. Expect germination in 7 days at 21 deg.C. soil temperature. Make small sowings every 1 to 2 weeks for cropping continuity.
CAUTION Seed may be treated with a pre-emergence fungicide. Do not use as stock food. Only for use as SEED for SOWING
