Thrives in acid soils. This is the Broad leaf form of an important culinary and medicinal herb.  It is an easily grown perennial with leaves used in cooking, either fresh or prepared.  High in vitamin C. Young leaves used in salads, soups and sauces.

Easily raised by sowing seed 0.5 cm deep in spring, expecting germination in 12 to 14 days.  Thin or transplant to 20 cm apart.   Keep flower heads removed.  Thrives when fed heavily.
