An Italian heirloom variety with pale green stems and leaves on plants that are shorter than most varieties.  Tolerant of both heat and cold. Best eating of all.

Sow September to January (cold), July to February in warm areas and February to November in the tropics.  Sow seed 1 cm deep, thinning 50 to 70 cm apart. Expect germination in 15 days at 21 deg. C. soil temperature.  Keep well fed and watered.
