A tall vigorous climbing variety with mauve flowers and heavy, tender , succulent pods to around 10 cm long. Plants to 2 metres. Must be trellised.

Best sown May to December (cold), February to August (warm) and April to July in the tropics.  Sow 5 cm deep and 3 to 5 cm apart.  Space rows 60 cm apart. Provide a 2 metre trellis for support.  Expect germination in around 7 days depending on the soil temperature.  Pick pods before seeds begin to swell, using whole or sliced. Keep well watered in warm conditions.
