Sow 1 to 2 cm deep August to February (cold), July to September and again January to March (warm) and January to May in the tropics. Transplant seedlings 15cm apart with 30cm between rows. Alternatively, sow into a seedbed, transplanting to 15 cm apart when pencil thickness.  Expect germination in 2 weeks at 21 deg. C. soil temperature. Can be grown in trenches and hilled up to blanch. Feed heavily and keep well-watered.

CAUTION Seed may be treated with a pre-emergence fungicide. Do not use as stock food. Only for use as SEED for SOWING,
