Invaluable flavouring plant that is ideal for pot or garden.  This form has coarser leaves than some.  Cut leaves regularly for a mild onion taste.  Sow 1 cm deep in late winter and early spring, transplanting to 15 cm apart.  Plants form clumps that may be divided.  Flowers are an attractive mauve.  Germinates in 2 weeks at18 deg. C. soil temperature.
