A heavy feeding crop that responds well to the liberal use of animal manures. Benefits from the use of Sodium Molybdate on the seed bed. Best in cool climates or temperate coastal regions. In the tropics try sowing January to April.
Best sown November to April, but can be sown all year in warm areas. Sow 1 cm deep in a seedbed, transplanting 60 cm apart 6 weeks later. Matures in around 3.5 months from transplanting. Feed heavily. Expect germination in 10 days at 21 deg. C.
