Best sown October to November (cold), December to mid January (temp). Sow 1cm. deep in a seedbed, transplanting 6 weeks later spacing plants 75cm apart. Feed lightly and steadily in firm soil to avoid loose sprouts. This crop does not suit tropical climates, performing best in cold districts. Expect germination in 10 – 12 days at 21 deg. C. soil temperature.
