Sow September to January (cold), July to March (temp), AYR (trop), in soil well manured for the previous crop. Sow 1-2cm deep in rows 15cm apart. Thin seedlings out to about 5cm apart, or further for larger roots. Expect germination in 10 -15 days at 24 deg. C. soil temperature. Feed well and keep watered in hot weather.

High quality uniform round dark red roots with dark ring free interiors.  Sow seed 1 to 2 cm deep, thinning to 5 or 6 cm apart. Best sown  September to January (cold), July to March (temp) and all year in tropics.  Expect germination in 10 to 15 days at 24 deg.C. soil temperature.  Feed well and keep watered in hot weather.
