Hardy. Strong growing variety with flattened purple pods which turn green when cooked. Do not allow to become over mature.

One of the hardiest climbing French beans producing flat purple pods under a wide range of conditions. Pods turn green when cooked. Sow the seed 3 cm deep, spacing plants 10 cm apart. Best sown Oct – Dec (cold), Sept – Jan (Temp) and all year round in the tropics. Provide a trellis to 2 metres and ensure adequate water, particularly at flowering. Germination should occur 7 – 10 days at 21 deg. C. soil temperature. Expect 3 to 5 times the crop of dwarf varieties over a longer picking period.
