Very old variety with solid slightly elongated fruit and a high solids content. Ideal for sauces, drying, pastes etc. Excellent taste. Requires staking

Sow 1 cm deep under glass August to September, (cold), August to December (warm) or all year in the tropics. Use of a heat tray is recommended in cool areas. Feed well, keeping well watered at all times. Plant outdoors when all danger of frost is past (cold and temp), spacing plants about 60cm apart with 1 to 1.5 metres between rows. Germinates in 10 – 12 days at 21 deg. C. soil temperature.
